Salute to Our Local Heroes 2011

The Wounded Heroes Fund  held the third annual "Salute to Our Local Heroes" on May 1, 2011 at the CSUB outdoor amphitheater. We came together as a community to offer your thanks to the brave men and women who have served, and are serving, our great country. Members of our local military units, as well as hundreds of veterans from past and current conflicts were present along with thousands of Kern county residents. This year, The Wounded Heroes Fund created a relaxed "BBQ style" atmosphere, complete with a delicious deep pit lunch, and entertainment from a multitude of great bands and guest speakers.
