2011 Salute to Our Local Heroes

The Wounded Heroes Fund would like to invite you to the third annual "Salute to Our Local Heroes", being held on May 1, at the CSUB outdoor amphitheater!

This is your chance to come together as a community to offer your thanks to the brave men and women who have served, and are serving, our great country. Members of our local military units, as well as hundreds of veterans from past and current conflicts will be present along with thousands of Kern county residents, all having a great time for a great cause. This year, The Wounded Heroes Fund is shifting gears; creating a relaxed "BBQ style" atmosphere, complete with a delicious deep pit lunch, and entertainment from a multitude of great bands and guest speakers.

If you have attended any of the past Salute to our Local Heroes events you know how fun, and rewarding they can be. If you haven't attended in the past, this year is the time to start - with a fresh new venue and program - it is sure to be bigger than ever.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. No ice chests allowed.

Event Time: May 1, 2011; Noon to 4. Gates open at 11:30am.
Tickets available from Vallitix: $20 in advance, $25 at the gate.
Children 6 - 12 years old $5, Under 5 years old free
